RCBC Securities, Inc., (RSEC) is the stockbrokerage unit of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC), the Philippines' 7th largest private commercial bank and a member of the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC). RSEC is a 100%-owned subsidiary of RCBC Capital Corporation (RCAP), which is wholly owned by RCBC.
The company was established in August 1973 as Pacific Basin Securities Company, Inc., and changed its name to RCBC Securities, Inc. on July 20, 1995.

RSEC is engaged in the buying and selling of shares of publicly listed companies on the Philippine Stock Exchange, offers traditional and on-line accounts, and provides top quality corporate and market research.

RSEC has been in the stockbrokerage business for almost five decades, having started in 1973.
In 1998, RSEC completed the full computerization of its backroom operations.
In 1999, RSEC became the first bank-owned stockbrokerage in the Philippines to offer an online stock trading service. The service, called RCBC ezTrade, is RSEC's online retail platform, which allows clients enjoy real time access to the market, giving them the opportunity to trade stocks, monitor, and manage their investments, anytime, anywhere. ez as that!
In early 2013, RSEC formed a non-exclusive partnership with Okasan Securities Group, Inc., Japan's 6th largest stockbrokerage company in terms of operating revenues, under which the two entities will cooperate to sell Philippine equities to Japanese institutional investors.
In 2014, RSEC completed the upgrade of its online stock trading platform in order to ensure real-time delivery of information and receipt and execution of orders.

Parent company RCBC Capital Corporation was established in 1974 originally as Philippine Pacific Capital Corporation. It is engaged in the underwriting of debt and equity securities, treasury operations, financial advisory and consultancy services, project financing and stock market services. RCAP's stockholders' equity stands at Php3.537 billion ($73million) as of end - September 2020.
Ultimate parent Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. was established by Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco in 1960 and has become the 7th largest private universal bank in the Philippines with $15.1bn in resources and a market capitalization of $600mn as of end-September 2020.
The Bank obtained central bank authority to operate as an expanded commercial bank in 1989, allowing it to engage in non-allied business.
In December 2014, Taiwan-based Cathay Financial Insurance Co. Ltd. signed an agreement to acquire a 20% stake in RCBC, which was finalized in April 2015.
RCBC is now 23.35% owned by Taiwan giant, Cathay Financial Group.
Meanwhile, RCBC is part of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, which include under its umbrella diverse business interests such as insurance, education, property leasing & management, construction, automobile dealership, oil extraction and exploration, and geothermal power generation.

As of end-2019, RCBC Securities, Inc. ranked 29th out of 184 brokers in terms of value of shares traded.
The company's stockholders' equity stood at Php501mn as of end-2019, making it one of the highest-capitalized stockbrokerage firms in the country.
